Recipe: Raspberry Brownies

Alright, long time no see~! Here's a recipe I have. Now, I had a picture of my results, but I lost it in the computer.

Raspberry Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup(16 tablespoons or 2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into pieces.
  • 4 oz. semisweet chocolate, chopped.
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 seedless raspberry jam
Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a 9-by-13 inch baking dish with foil, leaving an overhang on each short side. Spray with cooking oil.
  2. In a large pan over low heat, melt butter and semisweet chocolate, stirring often. Transfer to a bowl and let it cool for 10 minutes. Whisk in the sugar, eggs  and vanilla, then stir in flour and salt until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour batter into the baking dish.
  3. Spoon jam into a small bowl and stir vigorously to loosen. Drizzle jam evenly over batter and swirl in lightly with a spoon. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top has set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan on a wire rack.
When completely cooled, run a knife around edges without foil. Using the overhang of foil, lift brownies out of pan, place on a cutting board and peel of the foil. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Imagawayaki/ Absence

Man, I haven't been here for a while! I've been studying for my finals in school lately, so I haven't been baking. Besides, my parents don't go to the store too often unless something like eggs are out, so they should be going sometime soon.

Strawberry Tartlets: Success, I guess!

This is the result of my first attempt to make a mini strawberry tart! Now this was a mistake, but I forgot to show the inside of it. Inside, as a filling, I used chocolate because you can't have Valentine's Day without chocolate!
I gave them to my family and asked what I should improve or remove from it. My brother said that I should remove the strawberries and add more chocolate. My dad said that the tart shell should be thinner and softer.
I agree with my dad because I had one myself and it was pretty hard. (I believe that I added too much water to the dough.) I plan on making it again and trying to fix it. I'll be giving them to my mom's co-workers. I PROMISE I'll give you guys the recipe as soon as I get it right!

Strawberry Tartlets

I decided that for my first sweet, I was going to make strawberry tartlets. I wanted to make this because I'm getting ready for Valentine's Day and I wanted to make tartlets for my friends this year!
I'll give out my recipe and show pictures if everything goes well on this recipe.
